Sample measuring and tooling preparation
Sample to cutting die
If there is no file, the job can still move. A good sample is measured, redrawn and prepared as a production-ready die plan.
Which samples work?
Boxes, labels, bags, gaskets, leather, PVC/PET and custom technical parts can be measured and redrawn. Damaged samples need critical dimensions confirmed.
- Old box or packaging sample
- Gasket, leather or technical part
- Label, sticker and custom form
- PVC/PET, bag and plastic part
What we check
A sample is more than an outside dimension. Folding direction, hole size, corner radius and material behavior are reviewed together.
- Outer size, inside clearance and tolerance
- Crease, perforation, holes and notches
- Material thickness and grain or stretch direction
- Quantity and machine size
Quote information
A physical sample can be sent, or a measured photo can start the first review. The safest production result comes from the actual sample.
- Sample or measured photo
- Material type and thickness
- Critical dimensions and tolerance notes
- Quantity and deadline
Common questions
1Can a die be made without a file?
Yes. The sample is measured, redrawn and prepared as production tooling.
2Can a die be made from a photo?
A measured photo can start review; final production needs a sample or clear technical dimensions.
3Can an old die be remade?
Yes. An old die or product sample can be checked and remade with measured corrections.
