Leather, upper and textile cutting dies
Leather cutting dies for shoe uppers, textile and synthetic leather parts
Leather and textile tooling is not only about the outline. Grain direction, stretch, waste and left-right symmetry all affect production quality.
Where this die fits
Leather cutting dies and leather steel-rule cutting tools are used for shoe uppers, bag parts, textile accessories, felt and synthetic leather forms. Flexible materials make direction and nesting important.
A current sample or old die can be redrawn. Left-right symmetry, notches and stitch marks are checked before production.
- Shoe uppers and supporting parts
- Bag, wallet and promotional leather forms
- Textile, felt, EVA and synthetic leather cutting
- Sample duplication and production layouts
What we check before production
Soft materials behave differently from board after cutting. Blade joints, notches and marking are prepared clearly.
- Material direction, stretch and thickness
- Left-right symmetry and part matching
- Stitch notches, holes and marks
- Waste rate and sheet or hide layout
Quote information
A measured sample or technical drawing is fastest. If only a photo exists, include at least two reference dimensions.
- Sample, drawing or old die
- Material type and thickness
- Left-right set quantity and part count
- Stitch, hole, notch and marking notes
Common questions
1Is a leather die different from a shoe die?
Shoe dies are one use case of leather cutting dies. The same tooling logic can cover leather goods, textile and promotional parts.
2Can you make left-right dies from a sample?
Yes. The sample is measured, symmetry is checked and a mirrored part can be prepared.
3Can synthetic leather and felt be cut?
Yes. Thickness and stretch behavior are checked to choose the right rule and base.
