Clear plastic and acetate dies

PVC PET acetate cutting dies for clean edges and controlled creasing

In clear plastic packaging, the crease mark matters as much as the cut edge. Cracking, whitening and scratching risk must be planned around material thickness.

Where this die fits

PVC cutting dies, PET cutting dies and acetate cutting dies are used for clear boxes, windows, blister carriers, covers and plastic packaging forms where the cut line and crease line must work together. The wrong crease can whiten clear material.

The die is prepared around material thickness and folding direction.

  • Clear boxes and acetate packaging
  • PVC/PET windows and hanger holes
  • Blister carriers and cover forms
  • Notebook covers, dividers and promo parts

What we check before production

Plastic sheet does not behave like carton. Folding, cut edge and scratch risk are evaluated before production.

  • Material thickness and flexibility
  • Crease line, corner radius and cracking risk
  • Protective film direction and surface scratching
  • Layout spacing, waste and handling clearance

Quote information

Once thickness and material type are clear, the tooling plan is fast. A sample makes corner and crease decisions safer.

  • PDF, AI, DXF or measured sample
  • PVC/PET/acetate thickness
  • Folding direction and creasing need
  • Window, hanger hole or notch notes

Common questions

1Can acetate boxes be creased?

Yes, but the crease is evaluated around material thickness and folding direction.

2Can clear material whiten during cutting?

Unsuitable pressure, tight radius or mismatched creasing can cause whitening. The file is checked against that risk.

3Are PVC and PET dies the same?

The form may be similar, but material behavior differs. Thickness and hardness clarify the setup.

Send the clear packaging drawing; we will check the cut, crease and corner decisions for the material.
