BOBST stripping, blanking and waste separation
Stripping blanking tooling for clean waste removal and BOBST-ready sets
In high-volume carton production, the cutting die is only one part of the workflow. Waste separation and blanking are planned clearly to keep speed and reduce manual handling.
Where this die fits
Stripping tooling and blanking tooling separate waste and product blanks from the die-cut sheet in a controlled way. They are especially valuable in high-volume box and packaging jobs.
The main die, male-female creasing and stripping parts are checked as one file logic.
- BOBST 102 / 142 compatible set jobs
- Pre-stripping, stripping and blanking parts
- Multi-up carton and packaging production
- Waste removal and sheet exit control
What we check before production
A small alignment issue in a stripping set can become repeated machine stoppage. The whole set is reviewed together.
- Main die and stripping-part references
- Layout spacing, waste bridges and holding points
- Male-female creasing and print direction
- Machine model, sheet size and delivery layout
Quote information
If the main die file or production sample exists, the set can be reviewed faster. Machine model is essential.
- Main cutting-die drawing or sample
- BOBST model and sheet size
- Number-up layout, waste zones and blank exit
- Required set parts and deadline
Common questions
1Are stripping and blanking the same?
No. Stripping focuses on waste removal; blanking focuses on separating product blanks. Some jobs need both in one set.
2Can stripping tooling be added to an existing die?
Yes. It can be designed from the main die file or a clear production sample.
3Can you replace only one set part?
Yes. Main die, male-female parts or stripping pieces can be evaluated separately.
