Abrasive disc cutting dies
An abrasive disc is more than a circle cut from a sheet. The outer diameter, centre attachment, extraction-hole pattern and backing behaviour must work as one tool geometry. A steel-rule die built on a CNC laser-cut board is intended for repeatable cutting of sheet-fed abrasive material.
Which abrasive parts does the service cover?
The service covers dies for cutting sheet-fed paper- or cloth-backed abrasives into discs, sheets and special contours. Because the coated face, backing stiffness and hole density can affect the rule layout and ejection approach, production suitability is assessed from a material sample.

How are the hole pattern and layout prepared?
The outer profile, centre opening and extraction holes are referenced in one technical drawing. Distances between the small holes, outer edge and attachment centre are reviewed. Multi-up nesting is then planned around usable sheet area and part-release behaviour.

What is needed for a quote?
A physical sample can be the starting point when no production drawing exists. The abrasive product name alone is not sufficient: backing type, thickness, coated-face direction and the expected finished profile also matter. This service manufactures a flat-bed cutting die; it does not manufacture or supply the abrasive product.

1Is the outside diameter enough for a quote?
No. The centre opening, extraction holes, backing type, sheet size and preferably a physical sample are also required.
2Can the abrasive face affect the die specification?
Yes. Coated-face direction, backing stiffness and thickness can change cutting behaviour, which is why sample review matters.
3Do you make rotary tooling for roll material?
No. This service is limited to flat-bed steel-rule cutting dies for sheet-fed material; rotary and roll-line tooling are out of scope.
